I've been cooking at home for fifteen years, and for most of that time my recipes lived in four places: screenshots, a Notes app, a drawer of torn-out magazine pages, and my head.
The recipes I actually cook came from everywhere: a food blog with three thousand words before the ingredients, a reel I saved at midnight, a card in my mum's handwriting. Finding the one I wanted meant remembering where I'd seen it, then scrolling past the ads to get to it. Once I'd found it, I'd change it, and my changes lived on a sticky note.
I wanted a calmer home for them. Something that would strip a food blog down to the recipe, keep my own notes beside it, and not try to be a social network. I couldn't find one that felt right, so I'm making it.
How it's made
Guided Kitchen is just me, working evenings and weekends. The private beta is open, and I'm inviting people in small batches so I can talk to every one of them. If you join the waitlist and reply to your invite, that reply comes to me.
It's also why the feature board matters: with one person building, what gets built next should be what home cooks actually need.
